Kathy Sue is an award-winning Sustainable Development Professional (ISSP-SA), LEED Green Associate, and Climate Reality Leader with 15 years of progressive experience and a proven track record of implementing sustainability projects. Recognized as an industry leader in meeting the highest standards and being among the first in the nation to achieve sustainable business certifications for her clients, she is a trusted source of knowledge on established practices and cutting-edge trends that benefit organizations, the community and the planet. 


Kathy Sue obtained her sustainability professional’s credential from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. She is a LEED® Green Associate (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design – US Green Building Council), Harvard educated in Corporate Sustainability Strategies, Columbia University’s Age of Sustainable Development, and is a trained Climate Reality Leader with the Climate Reality Project.

Kathy Sue started her sustainability consulting firm in 2007. With her expertise in international environmental standards, a famed golf resort became the first hotel property in the U.S. to be certified to the ANSI accredited APEX/ASTM Environmentally Sustainable Meetings and Events standard – Venue & Accommodations category in 2015. This was third-party verified by iComply, a sustainability auditing firm.


In that same year their golf course was GEO Certified®, golf’s internationally accredited and widely supported eco-label from the Golf Environment Organization, Scotland, also third-party verified. Subsequently, it was awarded the “Sustainable Golf Course of the Year Award” for the Americas region, by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO).   These initiatives resulted in an organization wide savings of nearly $1.4 million, and the reduced impact on the environment.

Kathy Sue is on the board of directors of Executive Women of the Palm Beaches Foundation, and the Sustainable Events Network Florida/Caribbean. She participated on the Working Group to rewrite the Events Industry Council's Green Events standards. Kathy was has been invited the last two years to participate in the Cornell Hotel Sustainability Roundtable.
